Guidelines

• It is the responsibility of the employee to protect the laptops
• If laptop is lost, the users should report to the nearest police station and the complaint to be registered
• The users should also inform to Security manager – TVSM, Sr.GM – IS, Head – Information Security, AGM – IT Infrastructure and GM - FIN to do the needful for changing of financial assets
• McAfee Endpoint Network Security should be installed in laptops with full protection and the virus definitions to be up to date by IT team. User needs to inform to IT team, in case it is not installed in any system.
• Ensure all laptops employ full disk encryption (FDE) to guard against stolen laptop or prevention of un-authorized access.
• User id and password given to the user should not be shared with anyone.
• Always lock the systems while going away from laptops
• Laptops CD/DVD drives should be in Read Only Mode
• Data leakage prevention application has been installed in the systems for document security.
• Installation of all the software in the laptop for any application should be done by the System administrator or his authorized persons only
• The users should not download or install unauthorized software or enable unauthorized protocol or service in his laptop, since those software will create vulnerabilities to the laptop and to the network as well as threat for compliance
• Laptops should not be connected to any unsecure Wi-Fi
