Guidelines
TVS adopts the following set of guidelines, to prevent unauthorized access, thereby maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of data.
- In TVS, passwords are used to gain access to the SAP applications, in-built applications, mail applications as well as the default domain logon.
- Passwords with a minimum of 8 characters must be enforced for permitting access to the SAP application, Windows domain login and the mailing applications.
- To ensure an added level of security, passwords for accessing the Domain application should necessarily include the combination of alphabetic, numerical digits and special characters.
- Active Directory, Email accounts should be locked after a maximum of 5 bad logon attempts. The account should be re-enabled automatically after 5 minutes.
