For all categories of employees (Executives & Managers), one day in a week shall be given as weekly off. At present, weekly off is given on Sunday. In addition to that, 9 days (4 days National & 5 days Festival holidays) is given as declared by the management every calendar year.
While calculating the number of days leave availed by an employee, intervening holidays are not counted. (Example: An employee taking leave on Saturday and Monday is considered as 2 days leave since the intervening Sunday is the weekly holiday)
(Applicable to A1 to B2 grades, new recruits, probationers, confirmed employees and Executive Trainees except Project Trainees)
- Earned leave of 21 days for every calendar year (Jan to Dec) credited in advance i.e. on 1st January of every year. In case of new recruits, advance leave will be calculated from the date of joining to end of the calendar year on pro-rata basis (1 day for 14 working days) and shall be credited.
- Advance crediting of leave is not applicable for Project Trainees.
Leave accumulation and encashment:
Leave accumulation to a maximum of 60 days.
Encash when the leave credit exceeds 60 days as on 1st Jan of every
Leave encashment will only constitutes Basic pay. The encashment
amount paid along with Apr salary.year
- Annual leave entitlement for managers is 30 days per annum
- Only financial year is reckoned for the Annual leave for eligibility / accumulation / encashment purposes (i.e. April to March)
- Pro-rata annual leave entitlement for the new joiners will be reckoned from the date of joining to the financial
year end, as given below
Those who join on or before 15th of the month will be eligible for leave entitlement as applicable to full month and on or after 16th, will be eligible for leave entitlement as applicable to half a month.
Leave accumulation over and above 90 days as on March 31, will be encashed by reckoning March basic salary and paid along with April month salary
Managers in B3 and above are not entitled for maintenance off
In case employees when transferred from out station to our premises or vice versa (within our organization) is eligible for Transfer leave of 3 days within six months from the transfer date. The transfer leave should be availed at a stretch.
Eligibility and entitlement:
Up to two surviving children: The maximum period of maternity leave shall be 30 weeks, inclusive of 26 weekly off and paid holidays
Leave entitled also includes one month of leave to cater to any illness arising due to pregnancy
Beyond two or more surviving children: The maximum period shall be 12 weeks include weekly off and paid holidays
Onboarding Leave: In addition to the maternity leave women employees would also be entitled for a flexi working for a period 8 weeks
Women employees are required to work a minimum of 4.5 hours of continuous working during the shift (Excluding lunch). Onboarding leave shall not be split of carried forward.
Miscarriage leave: In case of an unfortunate incident such as miscarriage, abortion or termination of pregnancy on medical ground, the woman employee shall be entitled for paid Maternity leave up to 6 weeks.
All eligible employees are entitled to a 6 day of paid Paternity leave
The leave can be taken anytime during the duration of one month prior or after the date of delivery of the child or date of adoption split in intervals within the time frame, if required
The Paternity leave shall be paid leave and will be over and above the Earned leave and Paid Holidays.The Paternity leave cannot be carried forward post the validity period mentioned above and will lapse one month after the date of birth or adoption of the child.
However, in the event of any other major medical conditions like Intrauterine bleeding, etc., Paternity leave could be availed earlier, during the course of the pregnancy. However, paternity leave would be limited to maximum 6 days.
The Paternity Leave cannot be en-cashed.
Miscarriage Paternity Leave: Maximum of 4 days of paternity leave, which could be availed by employees towards miscarriage. This leave should be availed at a stretch and would be applicable to max of 2 such occurrences per employee.
Adoption Benefit: All eligible employees are entitled to adoption leave as below:
“Single parents” or the “Primary Caregiver” would be entitled for a leave of 12 weeks from the date the child is handed over. In addition, an onboarding leave of 8 weeks with flexi timings as mentioned in Maternity leave shall be applicable.
A “Commissioning Mother” of “Adopting Mother” shall be entitled for a leave of 12 weeks along with 8 weeks of onboarding leave. All other guidelines would be applicable as mentioned in Maternity Leave.
An “Adopting Father” of “Secondary Caregiver” would be eligible for 6 days of Paternity leave as applicable.
Tubectomy (Employees): 2 weeks leave
Tubectomy (Spouse) : 6 days of leave eligible from the date of admission continuously. No carry forward & splitting of leave are not applicable.
In case where the sanctioning authority is dissatisfied assessing the request shall mark “Not sanctioned” after giving justification to employee and obtain his sign to forward the same to concerned Plant ERM offices.
In an employee avails, medical treatment outside for more than 10 days the fitness certificate provided by the outside doctor shall be approved by our company Medical officer.
In case of medical leave sanctioned by Medical officer for more than two consecutive days, the employee should be get fitness certificate from Company Medical officer for resumption.
